To ensure a seamless experience, we are blocking devices from being offered Windows 10 version 1809, until updated Intel device drivers are installed on your current operating system. We recommend that you do not attempt to manually update to Windows 10, version 1809, using the Update Now button or the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft Software Download Center until newer Intel device drivers are available with the update. You can either wait for newer drivers to be installed automatically through Windows Update or check with your computer manufacturer for the latest device driver software availability and installation procedures. For more information about this issue, see Intel's customer support guidance.

The issue with Wireless updating is that there are interdependencies between the Wireless and Bluetooth driver packages. In order to update properly, you need to uninstall both packages and then install the newer versions. A process similar to what was used with the non-DCH to DCH graphics driver upgrade is necessary:

Intel Audio Display Driver Issue With Windows 10 Version1809

Microsoft emphasizes this issue is different from the one affecting the Intel Smart Sound Technology (ISST) Driver, which again was inadvertently released by Intel and caused problems with audio on Windows 10 1809 and 1803 PCs.

Before halting the Windows 10 1809 update due to the data-deletion bug, Microsoft was blocking the update for devices with certain versions of an Intel Audio Display device driver. That issue was over-utilizing the processor and draining the battery.

Last week Microsoft blocked the Windows 10 1809 update for PCs with iCloud for Windows due to an incompatibility issue. The company is also working on a fix for a known issue affecting mapped drives, which it expects to deliver by the end of November.

Last test, I install Ubuntu 18.10(because it has the kernel that supports my NUC) and most things works fine. Only problem I seem to have is when using either one of the HDMI port on the NUC, the screen would flicker off for about 3 seconds and then back on every now and then. With the miniDisplayPort to DP cable, it works fine. I suspect it has to do with the audio going over the HDMI and I'm going to play around with this on my 4K 32" AOC Monitor to see if this helps for both Ubuntu 18.10 and Windows 10 x64 1809.

I'm not very familiar with Hades Canyon NUC8i7HxK series, but assuming the Radeon RX Vega M discrete graphics is in hybrid graphics mode always working in conjunction with Intel integrated graphics (and using the display outputs from the Intel), the display frame buffer memory still comes out of system (DDR4) memory, so any lack of robustness in the memory subsystem for whatever reason can mess up the discrete graphics as well. This is in contrast to true discrete graphics where the discrete GPU has its own dedicated graphics memory, such as with virtually all discrete graphics cards (e.g. NVIDIA, AMD), which tend to be much less sensitive to memory subsystem stability issues.

As I have researched the error code. Windows has prevented the update previously due to a known compatibility issue with the Intel display audio driver. This driver is linked with the Intel Graphics Driver. See a few articles on the issue.

Microsoft has identified issues with certain, new Intel display drivers. Intel inadvertently released versions of its display driver (versions 24.20.100.6344, 24.20.100.6345) to OEMs that accidentally turned on unsupported features in Windows.

It's possible to update these machines to Windows 10 V1809. But after upgrading to Windows 10, version 1809, audio playback from a monitor or TV connected to a PC via HDMI, USB-C, or a DisplayPort may not work properly. The whole issue has been addressed in this Microsoft Answers forum post.

Which makes me wonder: In the Microsoft article there is no information that the issue can be solved with an update of the Intel graphics driver. Because on this Intel page there is a graphics driver in the version 25.20.100.6373 from November 5, 2018. It also supports the October 2018 update of Windows 10. However, I can't check if this fixes the bugs mentioned in KB4464619. But German blog reader reported, that after a manual update of the Intel graphics driver, Windows Update will re-install the old 24.xxx driver (happy Windows 10 auto-updating). (via)

The microphones are working correctly on other clients with Teams (HDX redirected) and if I connect a headset like Jabra Evolve 75 that microphone works correctly so it's not a general issue in the environment or the client but it's specifically that Teams HDX does not work with this microphone. It displays correctly as a device in Teams but no sound goes through.

Any updates on your issue? We started experiencing this same issue recently with our newer HP's (850 G6 and 850 G7). Both of these models use the Microphone Array (Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) too. I found an article -ms-teams-not-pulling-through-audio-devices/ that was similar (mic not showing in Teams at all). One poster stated that Teams only supports "Recording Devices: up to 3 channels, 16 bit, frequencies up to 48,000 Hz" per -us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/multimedia/opt-ms-teams.html#peripherals-in-microsoft-teams . That article is now updated and says "Recording Devices: up to 4 channels, 16 bit, frequencies up to 96,000 Hz". Teams identifies the microphone device and does not say "None". I wanted to still try scaling back the number of channels for the mic, but its been grayed out and unable to be changed (tried running as admin, unchecking the exclusive access options ect..). On the various other hardware we have tested and had the mic work in Teams, those mics all showed less than 4 channels.

This is pretty easy to listen when you play the windows notification sound heard when you change the volume bar. It starts horribly crackling, but ends with a lot of background noise, as if something was setting the audio gain higher as the sound becomes smaller.

Am I the only one having this problem? I think it probably has to do with Waves MaxxAudio, but if you disable it the sound becomes too low. Also tried updating Realtek drivers but nothing changed. This happened only after updating to Windows 1809.

Having no HDMI 2.x capable devices I can't upgrade the firmware so I decided if a fresh install would help. Setup was fine and Windows without drivers was fine until connected to the internet and it downloaded drivers, and yes I even opted to not automatically install drivers but Windows 10 1903 did it anyways, and the problem persisted. After many attempts without connecting to the internet and installed each driver one by one, the problem only occurred again when the graphic drivers were installed. However uninstalling the driver was fine. I did try every graphics driver for the NUC6i7KYK and Iris Pro Graphics 580, with no success, but uninstalling and returning to the Microsoft Basic driver the display was fine.

In this video I showed the when Windows 10 versions 1903, 1809v2, 1809oct-nov, 1809oct, 1809 wont install due to requiring drivers at setup and after trying literally every driver for every NUC with no success, I think only an all in one would work but proceeded to 1803, each time I -only- installed graphics drivers and nothing else only for the problem to reoccur, each time. Of course with BIOS version 61 the problem is even worse than before, since the NUC was fine with BIOS version 41 and Windows 1803 and older now "legacy" driver, it was only when the updates started on the 1st of July 2019 that this occurred and forced updates were being applied.

Based on the troubleshooting you have performed, this does not seem to be a driver issue. In other words, it is not a driver bug since it happens with a large number of driver versions. This could be caused by a faulty unit since it started happening more than a month ago.

Bluetooth driver 22.130.0 and 22.140.0 trigger error code 37 on 1607. Fortunately, new Intel Graphics drivers such as 30.0.101.1191 fixed DirectX 12 support issue on 1607, but it seems that 30.0.101.1340 and 30.0.101.1404 have refresh rate and audio problems with PowerDVD 20.

1809 apparently is known for causing problems with Realtek audio. Sometimes it moves the Realtek audio from Sound Controllers to System Devices in the device manager and hides it there, even if it has a driver error.

Check the device manager. Are any of the sound devices listed as "High Definition Audio Device" without the chip-set name? In some cases, 1809 thinks Realtek audio is actually Intel HD Audio, and installs the Intel driver instead. This is usually a sign that Microsoft's crappy generic audio drivers have replaced the correct drivers. Check the Hardware ID in the Details tab in the device properties.

Their only a "realtek high definition audio" listed for audio, their another audio called "Intel display audio" which is listed to the monitor that also has speakers (but isn't connected to it with audio cables)

If at all it is a hardware issue, not a driver issue. That said I have two Intonas myself and both work perfectly under W7 and W10 with all RME devices. That points to your laptop or the Intona (they had a firmware update more than a year ago - how old is your unit?).

Just one more thing. I tried to play some 24/96 audio (Tidal MQA) but the ADI-2 DAC indicates that it is receiving 44.1khz audio. (I selected the ADI-2 driver in the Tidal settings.) When I play the same album via Tidal on the Mac mini, the ADI-2 display shows 96khz as it should. Is this a configuration setting of the Windows driver and if so how can it be changed?

Now if I go to Control panel > Sound > ADI-2 DAC (54681350) > Properties, the "Enhancements" tab is missing! So I can't disable sound effects, which I know is necessary for WASAPI exlusive mode to function. I found on the web that this can be a problem with audio drivers after a Windows 10 update. So I uninstalled the Windows USB audio 2.0 driver (via device manager) and restarted the computer to reinstall the driver. I did this several times. I also reinstalled the Realtek and Intel audio driver, but to no avail. I can't get the Enhancements tab to show in the ADI-2 DAC's properties dialogue. be457b7860
