Nandini Jagannarayan is an experienced educator and author who has demonstrated expertise in teaching economics, finance, and related subjects. Currently working as an Associate Professor with BCom Banking and Insurance (BBI) faculty of Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College in Mumbai, she has been teaching courses on International Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Quantitative Techniques, Managerial Economics, and Environment and Management of Financial Services since June 2007.
Nandini has a diverse educational background, including a Master of Applied Finance (MAF) from the University of Western Sydney in Australia, an M.Phil in Commerce from Alagappa University in Tamilnadu, and an M.Sc in Economics from Avinashilingam University in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. In addition to her academic achievements, she also has one year of experience as an office administrator in a Private Investment Advisory in Chennai, where she interacted with clients, identified their problems, and prepared monthly reports for them pertaining to their portfolio.
Nandini has also authored several books on finance and economics, which include A textbook on International Banking and Finance, A reference book on International Finance, A textbook on Financial accounting, A book on Equity Markets --I and --II, A book on Derivative Markets, A book on Foreign Exchange, and A book on Financial Markets. All of these books were co-authored with Dr. P.G. Gopalakrishnan and published by M/s Himalaya Publishing House.
Nandini's publications demonstrate her extensive knowledge in economics and finance. Her educational background has also equipped her with a deep understanding of economics, financial institutions, quantitative techniques, and research methodology. Nandini's research projects include analyzing the performance of Retail Listed Property Trusts, with Westfield Trusts as an example.
In terms of academic achievements, Nandini secured the second rank in the college and was awarded the certificate of merit for excellence in economics in 2001. She has also maintained a credit average at the University of Western Sydney and passed with first-class distinction with a score of 83% in her M.Sc in Economics.
