My teaching philosophy is underpinned by my core beliefs that public policy education should transcend disciplinary boundaries, be connected with the realities of the complex policy world, and equip future policy makers and policy analysts with problem-solving and analytical skills. I adopt a highly student-centric, inclusive, and applied teaching strategy.
In recognition of my outstanding teaching performance, I was awarded the department-level Faculty Teaching Excellence Award by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) in 2018 and the prestigious university-level Annual Teaching Excellence Award by the National University of Singapore in 2019.
At IIMA, I teach a unique elective on “Designing Public Policy” and a Ph.D.-level research methods course on causal inference. I also teach a statistical data analysis course in the Faculty Development Program aimed at professional development of faculty members at management institutions in India and South Asia.
