I am motivated by a central question: how can countries best encourage innovation? To this end, I have two strands of research: the differing yet complementary roles of private capital markets and governments in financing research; and the rise of innovation, entrepreneurship, and private capital markets in China and India. I am also broadly interested in public debt, economic growth, and corporate finance. My work frequently uses text and patent data.
I graduated with a PhD from the Department of Economics at Harvard University in May, 2025.
I studied Applied Mathematics as an undergraduate at Harvard College and received a Master of Science degree in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics.
I am from the wonderful Pink City in India.
