This summer, our Nampa Garden Club will once again be assisting the team at the Nampa Parks and Recreation Department to keep the rose gardens at Lakeview Park and Orah Brandt looking their best. Our members volunteer a few hours each week to deadhead and prune the hundreds of rosebushes to encourage healthy growth, long-lasting blooms and a beautiful sight for all the visitors to the park.
Our members receive training from the dedicated maintenance staff, who have educated us in correct pruning and trimming, including sanitizing our tools to minimize the spread of disease within the rose gardens.
This is a great opportunity for our members to spend time together while enjoying the outdoors and learning more about the rose gardens and their history.
The Nampa Garden Club encourages you to stop by and enjoy the blooms this summer!
Thank you for your support of our club through your purchases at the May plant, yard, and yard art sale. We had a great day getting to know so many local gardeners and helping you find some great plants and treasures. Proceeds from the sale support our club activities and fund local beautification, education and community service efforts. Watch this site for more information on our work in the Nampa community!
We'll be at the Boise Centre from March 27-29. Stop by the Garden Club booth and say hi!

Civic pride and improving public garden spaces is just one way the Nampa Garden Club serves our community. Last summer, our members spent hundreds of volunteer hours pruning and maintaining the Rose Garden at Lakeview Park, as well as the Veteran's Garden at City Hall.
