The Natural Medicine Inclusion Summit (NAMIS)
NAMIS is designed to revitalize the traditions of natural medicine. We opened a forum for practitioners, scientists, and students to speak on the state and future of medicine March 29th and 30th, 2025.
Does natural medicine concern your field of study? YES!
What is natural medicine?
Natural medicine is a holistic approach to health and wellness that emphasizes using natural remedies and lifestyle choices to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It integrates traditional knowledge and healing practices with modern scientific knowledge and practices to support the body's innate ability to heal itself. We are alive!
Natural medicine takes a holistic approach to health, considering the whole person and their environment. It emphasizes using herbal and nutritional therapies, incorporating plants, herbs, and whole foods for prevention and treatment. Physical activity and a balanced diet of unprocessed foods are encouraged if possible. Mental well-being is supported through practices like mindfulness and meditation. Natural medicine promotes healthy lifestyle choices, including sufficient sleep, hydration, and avoiding harmful substances. The importance of social connections, a clean environment, and preventive care are also recognized. Furthermore, it acknowledges the role of safety, security, and spiritual health in overall well-being. By addressing the root causes of health issues and encouraging a balanced lifestyle, natural medicine aims to achieve optimal health and wellness.
All this boils down to chemistry. Yes, regular chemistry, but also the chemistry between us and between us and the planet. All of us want to be healthy and happy. We are living in a great time with great power! With power comes responsibility. Join us at the next Natural Medicine Inclusion Summit to hear about and discuss the future of us.
