    2. Exo 3:13 ESV - 13 Then Moses said to God, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?"

    3. Mar 5:9 ESV - 9 And Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" He replied, "My name is Legion, for we are many."

God willingly enters into a covenant with man and binds himself to man through his covenant.

He gives us access to himself through the revelation of his name

Luk 22:20 ESV - 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

Jhn 14:12-14 ESV - 12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

The name of God carries authority when declared by those in covenant with Him.

it's a good reminder not to take "knowing" god's name for granted. We will see how necessary it is for people to know god's name

god's nAME equates to JESUS, OUR SALVATION

Act 4:7-12 ESV - 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they inquired, "By what power or by what name did you do this?" 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders, 9 if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, 10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by him this man is standing before you well. 11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
