Hi!! My name is Valentine Amari, and I am a digital artist from Long Beach, California. I have had a previous piece, “Our Love In The Garden” published to Name and None’s first issue, and my latest series, CUPIDITY//MAMMON personifies late capitalist practices that have seeped into our quotidian lives, and those who benefit from our (seemingly) inescapable entrenchment within them. I have appropriated sculptures made by Francisco Romero Zafra and a painting by Thomas Cole within this series.
