👤 About Dr. Namdev V. Telore

Prof. (Dr.) Namdev V. Telore is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Geography at Raja Shripatrao Bhagawantrao Mahavidyalaya, Aundh (Satara), Maharashtra, affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur. With over two decades of teaching and research experience, Dr. Telore is recognized for his academic rigor, leadership, and contributions to the field of geography.

He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Geography from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, and specializes in Geomorphology, Watershed Management, and Geospatial Technologies. His academic portfolio includes 10 authored reference books and book chapters, as well as 18+ research papers published in reputed peer-reviewed journals.

As a dedicated Ph.D. supervisor, Dr. Telore actively mentors research scholars and promotes interdisciplinary and applied research. He is an engaged member of several leading academic bodies, including the International Geographical Union (IGU), International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI), Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), Institute of Indian Geographers (IIG) and the Indian Institute of Geomorphologists (IGI).

Dr. Telore has served in key institutional roles such as Director of the Research and Development Cell and Centre Coordinator for the IIRS–ISRO EDUSAT Outreach Programme, where he has championed research-based learning and technology integration in geographical studies.
