Welcome to the Nam Polymer Group at KNU

The Intelligent Polymeric Materials & Interfaces Laboratory (iPMIL) at Kyungpook National University focuses on fundamental research at the interface between polymer chemistry, nanoscience, interfacial phenomena, and manufacturing engineering.  We make basic scientific discoveries and applied technological developments in the broad area of advanced polymeric materials. We design novel solutions that impact major societal challenges in areas related to flexible electronics, industrial textiles, energy, environment, healthcare, and safety.

We are currently interested in the following topics: 

(i) Synthesis of functional polymers through rational and sustainable approaches

(ii) Development of flexible carbon-based nanodevices for the liquid–solid interfaces

(iii) Engineering smart nanocomposites
