If you want a durable, high-impact replacement for the passenger-side tail light on your Toyota Tundra, choose Nakuuly Tail Light Compatible; if you need to restore the critical third brake signal on your Mercedes ML Class W164, choose BXIWEIA Rear Third Brake. These two parts serve completely different vehicles and safety functions, so the decision isn't about which brand is better, but rather which specific failure point you are trying to fix on your daily commute.
• Nakuuly Tail Light Compatible: Offers robust shock resistance and excellent waterproofing for the right side of a Toyota Tundra, but requires you to reuse your existing bulbs since they aren't included in the box.
• BXIWEIA Rear Third Brake: Features hardened PC lenses with UV coating to prevent yellowing and delivers high-brightness warning signals for a Mercedes ML Class, though it is strictly limited to that specific vehicle model.
• Choose Nakuuly if you drive a 2014–2021 Toyota Tundra and need a heavy-duty, plug-and-play passenger-side unit that can handle bad weather.
• Choose BXIWEIA if you own a 2005–2011 Mercedes ML Class W164 and need to replace a dim or cracked high-mounted stop lamp with an OEM-precision fit.
The Nakuuly tail light is engineered specifically for the Toyota Tundra models spanning from 2014 through 2021. If you are driving this truck on your daily commute, visibility and durability are non-negotiable. This unit targets the passenger side (right side) and is designed to replace part numbers TO2801193 and 81550-0C100 directly. The core value here lies in its construction; the design emphasizes strong structural integrity with good shock resistance and impact resistance. This isn't just a cosmetic shell; it is built to withstand the rigors of road debris and potential minor impacts without shattering.
A major selling point for the practical driver is the waterproof capability. The product data explicitly states it offers an excellent waterproof effect, which translates to reliability during heavy rain or washing. You do not have to worry about water intrusion ruining the internal electronics, provided you install it correctly. The installation process is straightforward, described as simple plug-and-play operations that require no modifications. This means you can swap out a damaged unit without needing to cut wires or drill holes, making it accessible even for those who prefer to handle their own maintenance tasks.
However, there is one specific trade-off you must be aware of before buying. The package includes only the tail light assembly itself; bulbs and harnesses are not included. You will need to use your original bulbs from the old unit. While this might seem like a minor inconvenience, it adds a step to the process and means you cannot simply "plug and play" if your old bulbs are burnt out or incompatible. This product is ideal for the Toyota owner who needs a direct, rugged replacement that restores the rear look and function without altering the wiring harness, but it assumes your electrical components are still in working order.

For owners of the Mercedes-Benz ML Class W164 produced between 2005 and 2011, the BXIWEIA rear third brake light addresses a very specific safety gap. This component is a High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL), located at the top of the rear window area. Its primary function is distinct from standard tail lights: it provides a high-brightness warning signal to drivers behind you when you hit the brakes. The product uses high-bright chips to ensure that the warning light is visible, effectively improving rear driving safety by making your braking intentions clear to traffic following closely behind.
Durability is another key factor for this unit, especially given the harsh exposure of a roof-mounted light to sun and elements. The BXIWEIA lens is made from hardened PC material with a specialized UV coating. This coating is critical because it prevents the plastic from turning yellow over time, a common failure mode for older factory units. Additionally, the lens is rated to be waterproof and dustproof, ensuring a long service life even in varying weather conditions. The design focuses on restoring the original warning function for vehicles where the factory light has become dim, cracked, or broken, bringing the safety feature back to its intended performance level.
Like the Nakuuly option, the BXIWEIA unit prioritizes ease of installation. It features OEM precise molding, meaning it fits into the designated slot on the Mercedes without requiring any cutting or complex wiring modifications. It is a direct plug-and-play replacement. However, this solution is exclusive to the specific Mercedes models listed. If you have a different year or a different luxury SUV, this part will not fit. It is a targeted fix for the ML Class W164 owner who wants to avoid the hassle of custom fabrication and needs a reliable, high-visibility upgrade for the center brake light.
• Best for Daily Commute Visibility on Trucks: Choose Nakuuly if you drive a 2014–2021 Toyota Tundra, as its robust structure and waterproofing are designed for the heavier demands of pickup truck usage.
• Best for Specific Safety Restoration on SUVs: Choose BXIWEIA if you drive a 2005–2011 Mercedes ML Class W164, specifically to fix a broken or dim high-mounted brake light that other drivers rely on.
• Best Impact Resistance: Nakuuly takes the lead here with its explicit emphasis on shock and impact resistance, making it suitable for rougher road conditions.
• Best UV Protection: BXIWEIA wins on longevity against the sun thanks to its hardened PC lens with a dedicated UV coating to prevent yellowing.
• Installation Simplicity: Both offer true plug-and-play experiences with no wiring modifications required, but each is locked to its specific vehicle platform.
• Bulb Requirements: Nakuuly requires you to keep and reuse your original bulbs, whereas BXIWEIA relies on its own integrated high-bright chips for operation.
• Weather Durability: Both claim excellent waterproofing, but Nakuuly frames this around general bad weather driving, while BXIWEIA focuses on long-term protection against dust and water for the roof mount.
• Fitment Precision: BXIWEIA highlights "OEM precise molding," suggesting a tighter fit for the Mercedes, while Nakuuly focuses on direct part number replacement for the Toyota.
In my opinion, the choice comes down entirely to the make and model of your vehicle, as these products are not interchangeable. If I were driving a Toyota Tundra for my daily commute, I would choose the Nakuuly Tail Light Compatible because its focus on impact resistance and waterproofing aligns perfectly with the rugged nature of truck ownership. Conversely, if I owned a Mercedes ML Class W164, I would immediately select the BXIWEIA Rear Third Brake to ensure my high-mounted brake light was bright enough and resistant to sun damage. Neither product is universally superior; they are specialized tools for specific problems. Check the current price on Amazon to see which fits your budget, but prioritize the one that matches your vehicle's exact requirements.
No, neither product is universal. The Nakuuly unit is strictly for Toyota Tundra 2014–2021, and the BXIWEIA unit is exclusively for Mercedes ML Class W164 2005–2011 due to their specific mounting points and part numbers.
Yes, you will likely need to check your current bulbs. The Nakuuly package does not include bulbs or harnesses, so you must reuse your original ones or purchase compatible replacements separately.
It is designed not to. The BXIWEIA unit features a hardened PC lens with a UV coating specifically to prevent yellowing, unlike many older factory plastic covers that degrade under sunlight.
No, both are marketed as plug-and-play replacements that require no cutting or wiring modifications, making them accessible for standard DIY installation.
