Summary: the extension does not collect or transmit any data to the developer, and never sells or shares your data. Your birth details and chart stay on your device. The only data that ever leaves your browser is what you actively type into the city search, or your approximate coordinates if you tap “use my current location” — sent solely to a third-party geocoder to look up a place. See “Network requests” below.
• The birth details you enter (name if provided, date, time, place name, latitude/longitude, time zone) and the birth chart computed from them.
• This is stored using the browser’s chrome.storage.local API on your own device. It is never uploaded anywhere.
You can delete it at any time by removing the extension or clearing the extension’s storage in your browser.
The extension works fully offline for the daily reading. It makes network requests only in two optional situations, and only with data you provide in that moment:
1. City search — when you type a place name in the setup screen, the text you typed is sent to the Open-Meteo Geocoding API (geocoding-api.open-meteo.com) to obtain coordinates and a time zone.
2. “Use my current location” — if you tap this, your browser’s geolocation (approximate coordinates) is sent to BigDataCloud’s client reverse-geocode endpoint (api.bigdatacloud.net) to obtain a readable place name.
These services receive only the search text or approximate coordinates for that request. Your birth date/time and your chart are never sent to them or to anyone. No request includes any identifier for you.
• No analytics, telemetry, tracking, cookies, or fingerprinting.
• No user accounts or logins.
• No advertising.
• No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
• No remote code execution (scripts are restricted to the extension’s own files by its content security policy).
• storage — save your chart locally.
• alarms — schedule the once-daily badge/notification refresh.
• notifications — show an optional daily notification.
• Host access to geocoding-api.open-meteo.com and api.bigdatacloud.net — the optional geocoding described above.
The extension is a general-audience astrology tool and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
