Hi everyone, this is the website for Lec003 of Math 1120, and I am your instructor, Gokul Nair. I will regularly try to make course-related announcements on this website and upload worksheets/other helpful stuff from class here.

11/14/22: Read section 8.3 and submit preview activity 8.3.1 on Wednesday (11/16/22).
11/11/22: In class, I mentioned Weierstrass's function as an example of a function that is continuous everywhere and differentiable nowhere. Here's a trippy video of someone "zooming into the function". You can see that no matter how far we zoom in, the function is "rough" and "spiky".
11/10/22: I posted your preview activity grades to canvas. Please let me know if you're not able to view them or if you think I've made an error in entering your grade.

All Instructors will host regular office hours (Mon-Wed) every week that all students in the course can attend. Tentatively, these are supposed to be on Tuesday late afternoon/evenings but I also set up a poll (for Lec003 students) for you to let me know your preferences.
Updated: My office hours are 3pm-5pm Tuesdays in Malott 218.

MATH 1012 is the support course for MATH 1120. The course meets once a week (Wed 4.45-6pm, Malott 251). Students who are enrolled in the course can receive 1 S/U credit.
