Many single-parent, poor families with young children in our neighborhood communities have no way of earning a daily living, if they have to stay at home to take care of their young children. They also have no means to pay someone to take care of young children in their absence. Therefore, many single parent women are forced to leave their young children at home only by themselves.
As a way to help these single parent mothers and their young children, NAIOTH Foundation decided to establish a subsidized day care facility in NAIOTH premises in 2017.
Since then, up to now, we have helped about 140 families with subsidized, affordable child care facilities for children 2 - 5 years of age.
When the children reach the schooling age, they are sent to the primary school by school bus. If a parent cannot pick up a child after the school hours, they are brought back to the daycare, until the parent can come after their work to pick up the child.
For children of schooling age, if the parents are financially unable to buy the school uniforms, NAIOTH buys the uniforms for them.
The children in the day care are given nutritious meals by NAIOTH as none of the parents are not capable of bringing their own food.
