Our communities, especially poor families in rural areas, have an increasing number of destitute females that fall into one of the following categories:
School-aged girls with unexpected pregnancies
Young children born with disabilities
HIV-infected women, and
Women with young children abandoned by their fathers.
Recognizing that these women and children need some help in terms of consolation, guidance and advice in overcoming their mental and physical agony, NAIOTH organizes counselling sessions for these women.
In this counselling session organized by NAIOTH in early 2021, a counselor discusses general problems faced by some single-parent mothers, and ways to overcome them.
