I had the privilege to participate in the "A World of Three Zeros" workshop organized by the Yunus Centre on October 29, 2024. During the workshop, we were divided into seven groups, and I had the honor of leading my group, Green Wave Solution.
Our group worked on two main tasks:
Social Business Idea Presentation
Our first task was to brainstorm and present a unique social business idea. We proposed a solution to address the syndicate system in the raw market, aiming to support both farmers and lower-level consumers. Our idea focused on ensuring fair prices and direct market access, ultimately benefiting the target market and gaining support from everyone for its potential impact.
Solving a Social Problem with Dr. Yunus’s Three Zeros
In our second presentation, we tackled the issue of street and slum children in Bangladesh. Our vision was to empower these children through education, sports, and technology, helping them acquire valuable skills. By doing so, we aimed to reduce poverty and unemployment while creating a positive environment that deters them from drugs and crime. This solution aligns with Dr. Yunus’s vision of zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions.
This workshop was a transformative experience, allowing me to apply social business principles to real-world challenges while leading a team in innovative problem-solving.
