A MESSAGE FROM SHERISA:
A MESSAGE FROM SHERISA:
I am running for the Cumberland Valley School Board because I believe our students, teachers, and community deserve leadership that listens, collaborates, and works toward real solutions.
Cumberland Valley has become extremely political and divided as a community, especially at the school board level. This continuous friction is stalling progress within our district, preventing us from working to solutions, and setting a poor example of conflict management for our students, our children.
Even with all of this turmoil around them, our Eagles continue to achieve at the highest levels. Yet, their successes are often overshadowed in the public forum by the latest scandal or lawsuit. I am not interested in placing blame or engaging in political battles, but simply working to bring resolution and creative solutions to the table for consideration, collaboration and growth.
I have always worked to give back to the community and support the schools that have played an instrumental role in developing me and my family. While I am NOT seeking endorsements or alignment to any organization, PAC, or committee, I am open to conversations and collaborations on issues of concern or priority with anyone or any group. I stand firm on my values--hard work, mutual respect, responsibility to service and common sense leadership.
I look forward to having open and honest conversations about school district concerns and challenges, as well as the visions and hopes of those that rely on the district to serve the community and influence our children. I firmly believe that together, our community, our school, and our students will soar to new heights!
