Push-Pin Show & Competition
Push-Pin shows began centuries ago and offer artists an opportunity to display works quickly and easily.
An Outstanding submission in each category will be awarded scholarships as follows:
GAEA NAHS Push Pin Show Best of Show - $200
GAEA NAHS Push Pin Show 3D Award Winner - $100
GAEA NAHS Push Pin Show 2D Award Winner - $100
Award winners will receive a plaque.
Push-Pin Show requirements:
All work must be submitted to the Online Submissions form prior to January 17, 2025.
Only one entry per student
Students can enter a work in any medium, EXCEPT video
All online submissions are due by January 17, 2025 on the Online Submissions Form
This year we will have both an in-person push-pin show and a digital option.
All 2D work has to be no larger than 11" x 14" and must be brought to the conference for the actual in-person show.
Any 2D works that are larger than 18" x 24" and 3D works will be presented digitally during the conference.
GAEA-NAHS Art History Scholarship
Date: Saturday, February 1st, 2025
Time: 10:30 - 11:30 am
Highest Score will receive $150 scholarship.
ART HISTORY EXAM
Participating students will take a timed multiple choice test covering Art Throughout History.
Scores on the art history exam will determine the recipient of this award.
The 60-minute timed exam will take place on Saturday at the Humanities Building.
Start time to be 10:30 am.
Scholarship winners will receive a plaque.
GAEA-NAHS Outstanding Portfolio Review & Scholarship
Portfolio reviews for both the HFS and GAEA-NAHS scholarship competitions will be held on Friday, January 31st at UWG's Humanities Building.
Students are encouraged to participate in the College Portfolio Reviews on Friday morning before dropping off their portfolios to be judged for scholarships.
The educators of the GA Art Education Association in conjunction with the NAHS Conference have created annual scholarship fund and have earned money to make this scholarship possible.
The top outstanding student portfolios will be awarded scholarships as follows:
1st - $750
2nd - $100
Scholarship winners will receive a plaque.
GAEA-NAHS Portfolio Requirements:
Each student portfolio MUST contain 8-10 pieces
Portfolios can be all 2D, all 3D or a mixture of both
If you have more than 2 quality 3D pieces, we suggest bringing your 2 best and printing high quality images of the rest

Helen Fleming Stone Memorial Portfolio Review & Scholarship
Portfolio reviews for both the HFS and GAEA-NAHS scholarship competitions will be held on Friday, January 31st at UWG's Humanities Building.

The Dr. Helen Fleming Stone Scholarship is the highest honor and largest scholarship bestowed on a National Art Honor Society student by the Georgia Art Education Association.
The scholarship award is $1200.
Second place portfolio is awarded $200.
Scholarship winners will receive a plaque.
HFS Portfolio Requirements:
Seniors Only
The student shall be a member of a National Art Honor Society who will graduate from high school in the current school year
Student must take ONE visual arts class in college.
Winning student MUST attend the Fall GAEA Conference to receive the award during the awards ceremony.
Artworks in this portfolio CANNOT be entered in the GAEA-NAHS Portfolio Review or the Push-Pin Show.
