1. 요한복음은 왜 요한복음의 마지막 장인 21장에서 예수님과 베드로의 대화 장면을 기록했을까요? Why does the Gospel of John include the conversation between Jesus and Peter in chapter 21, the final chapter of the book?
2. 요한복음의 첫 독자들 가운데 하나였을 에베소 교회는 이 이야기를 어떤 마음으로 읽었을까요? How might the church in Ephesus, likely one of the first groups of readers of John’s Gospel, have felt as they read this story?
3. 에베소 교회는 어떤 교회였고 요한복음에서 묘사하는 베드로와 어떤 연관이 있을까요?
What kind of church was the Ephesian church, and how might it be connected to the way Peter is described in the Gospel of John?
4. 21-23절에서 사도 요한과 관련한 예수님과 베드로의 대화를 언급한 이유는 무엇일까요?

헌신과 열정은 참 좋은 것이기는 하지만 요한복음을 통해 사랑보다 앞설 수는 없음을 깨닫게 됩니다. 우리에게 있어서 어느 순간 잃어버린 형제와 이웃에 대한 사랑이 있지는 않은지 돌아보며 그 사랑을 회복하기 위해 어떻게 노력해야 할지 나누어 봅시다.
Commitment and passion are good things, but through the Gospel of John we learn that they must never come before love. Let’s take time to reflect on whether there has been a point when we lost our love for our brothers, sisters, and neighbors, and share how we can work to restore that love.
