The North Andover Schools Enrichment Council (NASEC) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enriching the educational experience of North Andover students. Founded in 1986, NASEC supports and strengthens the North Andover Public Schools curriculum by bringing engaging, hands-on cultural and educational programs in the sciences, humanities, arts, and beyond directly into our schools.
NASEC is made up of parent and community volunteers representing each of North Andover’s four elementary schools and the middle school, with support and collaboration from the North Andover Public Schools curriculum department.
Each year, NASEC works closely with teachers and curriculum leaders to identify programs that complement what students are learning in the classroom. We strive to provide two enrichment programs for each elementary grade level (1–5) and one program for middle school students (6–8) each year. We also work to bring special whole-school enrichment experiences to our students whenever possible.
From science and STEM to the arts, history, culture, and the humanities, our programs are designed to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and bring learning to life in memorable ways.
NASEC meets throughout the school year to plan, organize, and coordinate these programs—and we rely on the support of our volunteers, families, schools, and community to make them possible.
Together, we help bring learning beyond the classroom and create experiences that students will remember.
