💜For my military families 

As a military mom and educator, these books are dear to me. Military kids have to go through so much and I hope that my military related books brings them joy and a feeling of belonging. 

To honor them, I’ve written four books:

📘 New Base, New Place, New Friends

This story captures what it feels like to PCS and start over somewhere new. From new schools to making new friends, it highlights both the challenges and the growth that come with military life.
It also includes a special section in the back where children can write down their own duty stations.
The story features places like Fort Bragg, Germany, Japan, and Fort Hood, helping kids see that their journey is shared by many.

👑 A Year We Stood Guard

A heartfelt story about two siblings and their deep bond. As one prepares to join the Royal Guard, the book beautifully explores love, pride, and the strength of family connection—even when paths begin to change.

💌 Dear Emily

Dear Emily follows a young military child celebrating a birthday while her dad is deployed. Through letters, video calls, and quiet moments, she learns that love remains strong—even across distance.

I wrote this book from personal experience. When my children’s dad deployed, I saw how deeply they felt the absence, the uncertainty, and the emotional weight of saying goodbye.
As a teacher in a military-connected community, I see these same emotions in my students every day.

🌊 Message in the Bottle

A dual-timeline story set during World War I, where a young soldier sends a message of hope into the sea. Over 100 years later, a boy named Robert finds it and learns to see his differences as strength. Together with his friend Andy, he continues the message—reminding readers that courage and hope can travel across time.
