Nadiia Lazhevska

Welcome to my webpage!

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics.

I work within the fields of International Trade, Regional Economics and Applied Microeconomics.

A major part of my research addresses the economic benefits and costs of trade integration. I am working both with theoretical trade models to study welfare gains from trade, and with empirical methods to study the distributional consequences of increased trade competition for the U.S. consumers.

Another part of my research focuses on the changes in local retail environment, regional price indexes, and adjustments in the shopping behavior of consumers following localized economic shocks. In my empirical projects I have been working with Kilts-Nielsen retailer and consumer scanner data.

Currently I am on the Job Market and will be available at the EEA meeting in Naples, December 6-7, 2018.

My job market paper is available here. My CV is here.
