Cover Magazine
 This project came to us directly from the Harper GRA 103 course. The project was for us to create a magazine cover using Adobe Photoshop. I first researched and brainstormed what magazine I wanted to replicate or create. I researched Vogue Magazine, Teen Vogue, and Rolling Stone. However, I was most fixated on fashion magazines and decided to do a Vogue magazine. Then, I had to consider whether I wanted to do a fashion magazine surrounding a friend or a pop group I was interested in. But when I decided on doing a fashion magazine cover, my thought of who should be on the cover came to me! Despite having a sense of fashion, I was hesitant about presenting my project in class. I could improve at presentation, especially if it surrounds me as the subject/topic. Then I decided to go big or go home and put myself on the magazine cover! I had a mini photoshoot at my house, taking many photos of myself in different outfits (mainly just two) with different vibes and poses. One was edgy, cool streetwear, while the other was a soft, innocent look. I opted for the edgy look because it was more stylish and appealing. When I decided which photo to use for the cover, I uploaded it to Adobe Photoshop and edited it to become what it is now.Â

This was a poster I made for The League of Women Voters to help encourage people to vote! I created this poster from Adobe Illustrator. I had the idea of making the poster into a theme of a pop comic cause that can range in ages. I used the "rectangle tool" in red for the background and then made two small circles, diagonal from each other in orange, made into a pattern grid, and fit that to the background. So it'll have the effect of a pop comic. For the character in the poster, I used tools like a "pen tool," "paintbrush tool," "ellipse tool," and "curvature tool." For the symbol on the character's chest, I typed the letter V in the font "Neon," which I got from Dafont, created an outline, went up to the object tab, clicked envelope distort, and wrapped the letter so on with drawing shadows, highlights, and curves. I used circles and created a pattern for the speech bubbles to make it look like a cloud, triangles for the explosion shape, and text to type the word "Vote" in three different languages: English, Spanish, and Polish. And that's how I created my "Vote!" poster.
