I am Dr. Nadeem Tariq Beigh, currently a postdoctoral researcher at Smart and Intelligent Sensors lab, Department of Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. I am working on the design/development/characterization of novel MEMS resonators for multi-transductional/multi-modal energy harvesting and sensing applications for self powered systems. Previously I was Research Fellow at i-labs, school of electrical and electronics engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I worked on the incorporation of MEMS into THz switching for a high-frequency, high-bit-rate applications. I graduated with a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. I was a part of the Interdisciplinary Microsystems Lab (IML), headed by Dr. Dhiman Mallick. I specifically worked towards the development of novel solutions to power futuristic IoT nodes. I have intensively worked on the bottom-up development of photopatternable nano-composites for mechanical energy harvesting via dual piezoelectric/triboelectric properties that can be integrated to machine learning for intelligent sensing systems. My primary research interests is development of standalone sensor system for smart health care system within the paradigm of industry 4.0.
Dr. Nadeem has an excellent publication record and has managed several projects at graduate and post-graduate levels. He is well known in the sensors community for his product oriented research on developing self-powered sensor system with applications in elderly supervision, diabetic assessment, activity monitoring, multi-transductional sensing, etc.Â
