Hi, I'm Mohamad
Currently a STEMA postdoctoral fellow in the research group of Prof. Damien Hutsemekers, based in Liege ...
My research locates around the nuclei of active galaxies (AGN), more precisely the highly luminous AGNs, known as quasars. The main focus is on the numerical modeling of the dynamics of material in AGNs which causes the emission line broadening in their spectra, known as Broad Line Region (BLR); for which I have developed an advanced numerical 2.5D MATLAB-based code (not yet publicly available) in non-hydrodynamical context with a single-cloud approach to the dynamics.
The underlying mechanism comes from the theoretically-motivated 1D analytical model of Czerny & Hryniewicz (2011), known as FRADO, which addresses the radiatively dust-driving acceleration of material from accretion disk as the source of material that forms the low-ionized part of the BLR.
This is part of a bigger plan with the ultimate goal to recruit quasars in cosmology in order to tune the cosmological constant (H0). See Project and Publications for more ...
