While I appreciate the acknowledgment of responsibility, I disagree with the framing of this decision. The cancellation of NLTC 2025 reflects a deeper issue: a lack of transparency and an unwillingness to confront discomfort, especially when that discomfort stems from white fragility rather than genuine safety concerns.

There have been many developments the past few days surrounding NAD. Here is a recap.

Many issues with NAD started with a TOXIC leader. The focus should be on removing a toxic leader who has actively harmed board members, led to six resignations, and illegally shut down the board.

My Reflection on NAD’ Current Situation: Govern, Lead and Change.

My thoughts on the continuing saga of NAD — this is my opinion and mine alone.

On behalf of state associations, we demand the following immediate actions: 1. The immediate resignation of President Lisa Rose. 2. Upon her resignation and per the bylaws, the Vice President shall assume the role of President and, with guidance from the Past Presidents Council, oversee the appointment of new officers in compliance with parliamentary procedure, to serve the remainder of the 2024–2026 term until the biennial conference in San Francisco.

This is a letter that I've felt forced to send to Jacob Leffler and the NAD Board demanding Jacob cease his witch hunt against board members who tried to restore NAD's proper governance.

Tar encouraged open dialogue with the NAD President and the board. He suggested setting up a Town Hall with the NAD President instead of calling for resignation. Tar also explained his perspectives.
