I am a Development Economist. I am a third-year Doctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Antwerp University, Belgium. I am also affiliated to the Institute of Development Policy (IOB) at Antwerp University. In my academic work, I use a variety of experimental and quasi-experimental techniques to address questions related to migration, refugees, climate change, food security, social protection, and women empowerment in the MENA region and particularly in Egypt. 

Priori to pursuing my PhD, I was a research manager at J-PAL MENA. I have extensive experience managing research projects, conducting fieldwork, and engaging with policymakers.
