MR guided Focussed ultrasound (MRgFUS) and Deep brain stimulation (DBS)
MRgFUS and DBS are clinical therapies used to treat symptoms of movement disorders.
This project involves a multi-disciplinary approach of brain imaging, computational modelling on different scales, and clinical electrophysiology.
This project involves a long standing collaboration with Professor Nandi, Dr Bain and Professor Gedroyc at Imperial College London and Professor Borisyuk at the University of Exeter.
Sacral nerve stimulation (SNS)
SNS is an established treatment for incontinence.
I am currently involved in a study in collaboration with St Mark's Hospital using clinical imaging to produce patient specific models of SNS.
Motor and sensory impairment
Sensory impairment is a feature of a number of neurological disorders and following brain injury.
I have been working on unpicking these sensory deficits in different groups, with a view of developing better rehabilitation strategies.
This work is in collaboration with Dr Seemungal at Imperial College London.
