NACLO

For the past 17 years, the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad has given students the opportunity to solve linguistics problems. In solving these problems, students learn about the diversity and consistency of language, while exercising logic skills. Registration is free and no prior knowledge of linguistics or world languages is required.

All local New Jersey high school students are welcome to take the exam. The top qualifying students in the open round on January 25th may be selected to participate in an invitational round on March 14th. The top 4 performing students will be selected to represent the United States at the International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL).
