NACHO Street Band

Welcome!

It began in 2015 with a dream to create a band made up of rag-tag musicians of passable talent and generous hearts. They started small with barely 12 musicians and about 10 songs. Now, 10 years later that band has grown in size, talent, and music catalog!  

NACHO Street Band is made up of Nationwide Children's Hospital staff, families, and friends working to raise awareness and money for the hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio. We have played events ranging from patient concerts at the hospital and Ronald McDonald House to regional summer concert series, ComFest, HighBall Halloween and Columbus Jazz & Rib Fest. Our set list includes music for everyone. We have charts ranging from classic hits to New Orleans Jazz and Funk, to Cartoon and Pop music.

We believe music is medicine and aspire to use music to provide a positive distraction from stress and worry for patients, families and the community.

NACHO Quick Facts:

• Playing for over 10 years

• Nearly 70 members

• Age range: 16 – 70+

• Over 60 gigs in 2022 and 2023 including NCH Pride Parade, Cbus 270 Tour, Central Ohio Summer Concert Series, Columbus Oktoberfest,  HighBall Halloween and Columbus Jazz & Rib Fest

• 9-time performers at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon

• Performs for various charity events throughout Central Ohio

• Donated over 80 performance hours in 2022

• Raised over $100,000 in 2023-24 for the expansion of the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, which is now the largest RMH in the world!

• Summer of 2021 - Raised $15,000 for the renovation of the NCH Siblings Clubhouse

• Fall 2021 - Raised $7,000 to help the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans recover from Hurricane Ida

• Fall 2021 - Bought and installed a Pinball Machine for the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus, OH

• NACHO Street Band is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  All donations and fees are tax-deductible
