With paper check use declining and electronic payment methods on the rise, the ACH Network has grown tremendously in recent years. A recent PaymentsJournal podcast unpacked how this growth continued into 2020, even as the pandemic disrupted regular economic activity. In fact, the pandemic underscored just how reliable and valuable the ACH Network is to commercial and economic activity.

Another growing use case for both regular ACH and its faster payment alternative is B2C payments. For example, insurance companies are increasingly using the ACH to make payments to customers, including rebates and claim payouts.

The United States leads in ACH payment usage, relying on this system for payment transactions from the government, for payroll, and for business and peer-to-peer transactions. The 2022 Federal Reserve Payments Study showed that an increase in ACH payments value accounted for more than 90% of the rise in noncash payments value from 2018 to 2021, signaling a growing preference for this method over traditional check payments.

ACH network volumes are increasing year over year. In 2022, the ACH network processed 30 billion payments, marking a 3% increase from 2021. This growth reflects a broader trend toward using electronic payments and is driven by the reliability and convenience of the ACH system.

Nada Rosa delivers a spiritual and interdisciplinary dreamscape that fuses elements of ecstatic dance during performances to bring sonic layers to life. The Jack Straw Writers Program was created in 1997 to introduce local writers to the medium of recorded audio; to develop their presentation skills for both live and recorded readings; to encourage the creation of new literary work; to present the writers and their work in live readings, an anthology, on the web, and on the radio; and to build community among writers.

The Jack Straw New Media Gallery is a unique venue in Seattle where artists from various disciplines can present works in which sound is an integral or exclusive element. This program enables artists to experiment with audio and to develop new skills and ideas in a supportive setting. Selected artists work with our engineers to realize the sound component of their project, with training as needed. ff782bc1db
