Nabity Ratings

The teams are listed in order of calculated strength from highest to lowest. The only data taken into account is the final scores from the games. Using this data, two one-dimensional network analyses are conducted. The first assumes that winning games is the only measure of strength and is called W/L. The other assumes that scoring points and preventing one's opponent from doing so is the only measure of strength and is called Diff. The Combo rating is an average of the two methods where the strength differential awarded in the W/L rating is normalized to match the Diff rating so as to give the two ratings equal weight. The SoS is Strength of Schedule and is the average strength score of the opponents each team has played against to date, and is provided merely to give context.

10/5/19 – The validity of the ratings in no longer impaired. There is sufficient continuity in the data for both ratings models to converge on a single solution for all individual team power scores.
