ABOUT ME
Assalamualaikum and greetings to all. Welcome to my e-portfolio, my name is Muhammad Nabil Bin Shuhaimi and I'm 19 years old. I reside in Shah Alam, Selangor. Student of Univeristy Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Pahang, Campus Jengka. Currently taking Pra Diploma Perdagangan, Faculty of Business and Management. With hope, I will be pursuing my Diploma in accounting at UiTM Perak or UiTM Johor. My program code is BA002 and I'm in class 1J. The main purpose of writing this e-portfolio is to help students to set their target and understand more about UED 102. What is UED 102?
UED 102 is a short-term for study skills. This refers to the importance of learning skills for every student transitioning from high school to university. UED 102 is a course where students can understand and 'settle-in' the proper way in university. This will help students overcome the neurotic feelings because of the academic demands at the tertiary level.

Making the transition (school to university)
Have you ever wondered what is the difference between being a high school student and a university student? The transition from high school to university can feel both exciting and dreadful. It's major change no doubt, but with a right mindset and preparation, it can be a smooth and rewarding experience. Here some of the differences between high school and university:

They are many learning styles you can include in your daily life, such as:
VISUAL: These learners find seeing what they need to learn is the most beneficial to them; graphics, videos, pictures and action.
AUDITORY: These learners prefer to hear information and respond best to spoken instruction
READ/WRITE: These learners like to read through a textbook and write them in a notebook. They find it easier to memorize.
KINAESTHETIC: These learners are very tactile, they need to get a feel or something. It is all about doing and sensing what they need to learn.

What is goal? goal is a desired result or outcome that a person or group aims to achieve within a certain timeframe. Goals provide direction, focus, and motivation, helping individuals or organizations prioritize actions and allocate resources effectively. In essence, a goal is something you want to accomplish or strive for in the future.

Memory
Memory is the psychological process of acquiring, storing, and retrieving.
Concentrate
Concentrate is to direct your attention or your efforts towards a particular activity, subject, or problem.
How forgetting can occur
Decay Theory: The natural deterioration of memory traces or connections between neurons over time leads to the fading of information.
Interference Theory: Competing information or distractions can prevent us from remembering.
Retrieval Failure: If we cannot recall information, it is considered forgotten.
Motivated Forgetting: Deliberately forgetting information for privacy or security reasons.

What is the importance of taking lecture notes?
It helps you to:

How to take lecture notes
There are 3 steps to maximize your note taking. If you follow these steps, you will understand what was presented and will have a clear note to follow afterwards.
Effective note-taking system

The first part is your cue section where the main points are. This section helps you recall larger ideas and topics. Next to it, is a much wider column reserved for your actual notes.
This one is the most laid-back. it’s valuable for students who like to highlight the key points on various topics to organize the facts better for easier review.
Make some doodles and diagrams, draw arrow and graphs, you name it. Let your mind loose while keeping the material or in mind. When writing and drawing, try to actively learn at the same time.
There are so many note-taking systems out there, you should really find one that is best for you and suits you the most.
Known for its simplicity, the Outline Method is one of the easiest note-taking methods you can learn. Anyone can easily swing this method.
The Sentence Method works great for fast-paced lessons where there are lots of information being discussed.
