Information nabchat processes

nabchat retrieves publicly available live-chat messages and related channel information from supported streaming platforms. This may include:

This information is used to display chats, calculate local analytics, maintain chat history, identify saved chatters, and provide features such as PULSE, River, Rooms, and Rug.

Information stored on your device

nabchat may store the following information locally on your device:

Locally stored information remains on your device unless you export it, delete it through the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall nabchat.

User-initiated exports are saved or shared only to the destination selected by the user.

Platform connections

Some platforms may require authentication before their chat data can be accessed. When you connect an account, nabchat may receive and securely store an authorization token on your device.

nabchat does not receive or store your platform password. Authentication is handled by the applicable platform. Information accessed through a platform connection is used only to provide the requested chat functionality.

Your use of connected platforms remains subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

In-app purchases

nabchat offers an optional nabchat+ upgrade through Google Play Billing. Purchases are processed by Google Play.

nabchat does not receive or store your complete payment-card or banking information. The app receives only the purchase status and related transaction information necessary to unlock or restore nabchat+.

Analytics

nabchat creates on-device analytics from chat activity, including message frequency, channel activity, chatter activity, and emote usage. These analytics are intended to help users understand the chats they follow.

nabchat does not sell locally stored chat history or analytics.

Data sharing

nabchat does not sell your personal information.

Data retention and deletion

Local app information is retained until it is deleted through nabchat, Android app settings, or by uninstalling the app.

You can remove channels, saved chatters, chat history, and other stored information using the available app controls. Clearing nabchat’s application storage or uninstalling the app removes its locally stored information, except for files you previously exported.

Purchase records and information held by Google or connected streaming platforms are governed by those services’ own retention policies.

Security

Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information handled by nabchat. However, no application, device, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should keep their device and connected accounts protected and should not share authentication credentials.

Children’s privacy

nabchat is not directed toward children under 13. The app displays public, real-time user-generated chat content from third-party platforms, which may not be suitable for children.

nabchat does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

User-generated and third-party content

Chat messages displayed in nabchat originate from third-party platforms and their users. nabchat does not control every message or guarantee its accuracy, appropriateness, or availability.

Users should use the available filtering and moderation controls and consult the originating platform when reporting content or accounts.
