About NABat Nebraska:
What is the Nebraska NABat Program?
Nebraska NABat is a collaborative project between multiple agencies and volunteers to conduct long-term acoustic monitoring on bat populations across Nebraska. We are currently seeking volunteers, so please view the Volunteer Resources and Contact Us pages if interested!
The goal of this program is to gain insight on the state's bat populations and how they may be changing over time. This information is crucial to conservation efforts. Bats are facing many threats, including the recent arrival of white-nose syndrome in Nebraska, a disease which has decimated bat populations across the US.
