Welcome!
Welcome!
I'm Naba Prakash Nayak, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Langevin Institute, ESPCI Paris, working at the intersection of theoretical and computational condensed matter physics. I earned my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), where I worked under the guidance of Prof. Soumya Bera in the Condensed Matter Group. Before that, I completed my M.Sc. in Physics at the School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. My research focuses on disordered quantum systems, many-body localization, and non-equilibrium dynamics. Outside the lab, I'm always curious about exploring new ideas, whether through scientific collaborations or personal interests and hobbies. Thanks for stopping by!
I am interested in quantum phase transitions in disordered systems, focusing on Anderson Localization, topological phase transitions, and the interplay between topology and localization in fermionic systems. I have also recently explored machine learning models to study disordered systems. You can find more about my work here.
In my free time, I enjoy participating in science outreach through an informal organization called "Science Phience." Inspiring young minds to explore science is what fuels our passion. Learn more about our work here. It all began with the "Science Express" program during my tenure at Prl Ahmedabad, with inspiration from Prof. Goutam K. Samanta.
I also enjoy learning music in my spare time. You can find out more about it here.
