Standard-Based Learning Policy
Standard-Based Learning (SBL): An educational method that emphasizes defined learning standards or goals where students are evaluated based on their proficiency in meeting these standards, than their performance relative, to other students.
Learning/Priority Standards: By the conclusion of a topic, students should have achieved an understanding of what they need to know and be capable of doing. These objectives should be specific, measurable. Provide a description of the desired outcomes.
Assessment: Evaluating student performance and understanding involves using a range of methods, including tests, projects, presentations and other relevant activities.
Differentiation: SBL acknowledges that students have varying paces of learning and different ways of grasping concepts. Teachers will offer customized instruction to accommodate the learning needs of each student.
Multiple Attempts: Students will be given multiple opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of learning standards. The focus will be on improvement and growth, not on penalizing mistakes.
Feedback System: A structured feedback system will be established, ensuring that students receive timely and meaningful feedback on their performance.
