This Privacy Policy explains how Naam Jap App (“the App”) collects, stores, and uses information.
The App is designed as a spiritual companion for practicing Naam Jap — chanting the Divine Name — while protecting your privacy with simplicity and transparency.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information We Collect
A. Spiritual Practice Data (Stored in iCloud)
If you enable iCloud sync, your chanting data (selected Naam, counts, goals, settings) is stored securely in your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit.
This data:
Is stored in your own iCloud container
Is not accessible to us
Is governed by Apple’s iCloud Terms and Privacy Policy
We cannot see or access your chanting history.
B. Donation Information (Optional)
If you choose to make a donation, we collect limited information necessary to record and manage the donation.
This may include:
Firebase anonymous user ID
RevenueCat anonymous user ID
Donation tier and product ID
Optional name
Optional email address
Optional message
Country
App version
Donation timestamp
Transaction identifiers (Store / RevenueCat)
Donation amount and currency (if available)
Providing name, email, and message is completely optional.
This information is stored securely in a database hosted in Mumbai, India.
C. Payment Processing
All payments are securely processed by Apple through the App Store.
We DO NOT collect or store:
Credit card details
Debit card details
UPI information
Banking credentials
We use RevenueCat solely to validate and manage in-app purchases and donation events. RevenueCat does not receive your payment card information.
Apple’s payment terms and privacy policy apply to all transactions.
D. Anonymous Analytics
We may collect limited anonymous technical data to maintain performance and reliability, such as:
App launches
Crash logs
Performance metrics
This data does not personally identify you.
3. How We Use Donation Data
Donation data is used only to:
Record completed donations
Maintain donation history
Provide support if needed
Improve app functionality
We DO NOT sell, rent, or use donation data for marketing.
4. Data Security
We use:
Apple’s secure CloudKit infrastructure for spiritual data
Secure backend database infrastructure hosted in Mumbai, India for donation records
Encryption in transit for all communications
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple’s secure systems.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Chanting data:
Stored in your iCloud account
Can be deleted by disabling iCloud sync or deleting the App
Donation records:
Stored in our secure database
You may request deletion of optional personal information (name/email/message) by contacting us
We retain transaction-related records as required for accounting and legal compliance.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is rated 4+.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Since donation name/email/message fields are optional, users should provide such information only with appropriate consent.
7. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
Data may be shared only with:
Apple (for payment processing)
RevenueCat (for purchase validation)
Legal authorities if required by applicable law
8. International Data Transfers
Spiritual data stored via iCloud may be processed on Apple’s global infrastructure.
Donation records are stored in Mumbai, India.
All data transfers are secured and handled according to applicable privacy standards.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect feature changes or legal requirements.
Updates will be published within the App or through official channels.
Continued use of the App after updates implies acceptance.
