Naadharasa Attendance Form - please click here and self report attendance to help us know who is in the building/at workshop
Smt. Nirmala Rajasekar is the artistic director of the school Naadha Rasa (Essence of Tone), Center for Music. Performances of her ensemble have been seen and heard at many venues in the USA and on radio and television.
We usually recommend new students and parents to stop by and audit a couple of classes and have in-person conversations with Smt. Nirmala Rajasekar before joining. This helps you to understand on how she teaches and think through your own schedules. She is an active performer, so her class schedule is altered to accommodate her performances as needed. Please also attend as many local performances as possible, just another way to meet with her and assess initially if you want to come under her guidance. You can find her on her website, facebook and youtube to stay in touch with her performances.
Families need to consider that learning at Naadha Rasa with Smt. Nirmala Rajasekar includes the following:
Time commitment and schedule prioritization efforts to attend classes
Making time to listen to live concerts
Helping with group practices / learning for students in your group
Volunteering with school and professional performances, if you are able and interested
Nirmala akka/aunty does teach select students online after having a chance to interact with them in person when time permits.
