Project Scope: Lead the redesign and monetization of MTN Bushfire's festival app 2.0. I led the app design, but the app itself was built by Festyvent in the UK and South Africa.

Duties fulfilled during the project:
Mapping out user journeys for the app.
Redesigning the layout of the app.
Managing relationship between MTN Bushfire in eSwatini and the app developer, Festyvent, in the UK.
Designing the different app services that would be sold to lead sponsors, beverage partners and vendors (MSMEs).
Project Scope: Building the Vuvulane Orphans & Vulnerable Children's Outreach Foundation (VOVCOF) website from inception to launch. I built the website, whilst the site copy was provided by Khulekani Msweli, who is VOVCOF's secretary.
Role: Web Developer (WordPress CMS)
Duties fulfilled during the project:
Sourcing the charity's domain and selected the web hosting provider.
Designing and building the layout of all the website's 15 pages.
Writing the content for the site's privacy and refund policy pages.
Building out a cookie policy that is both GDPR and CCPA compliant.
Building the charity's donation portal by signing a partnership with DPO Group in South Africa, which made VOVCOF one of a handful of entities (public, private or non-profit) in eSwatini to process online payments.
Building the site's e-commerce portal, which includes the donation products and the comprehensive user journey for a donation conversion (from prospecting to donation completion).
Project Scope: Building a service for social enterprises and non-profits in Kenya to track the impact of their interventions in communities where Hivisasa has a strong presence.
Role: Head of Monetization and Commercial Products
Duties fulfilled during the project:
Leading the market research for impact-tracked stories from the non-profit and social enterprise sector. This included engaging potential clients in discussions about which metrics were important to them to ascertain that the results in a community were due to their interventions.
Engaging county-level Hivisasa community reporters about what support they would need from the company to complete thorough follow-ups and engage in deeper community journalism.
Preparing estimated costs of production per an impact series story through its different stages.
Beta-testing the service through ten iterations, in collaboration with Hivisasa's community manager.
Project Scope: After raising US$10,000 in COVID-19 relief funds for vulnerable communities in eSwatini, the co-founders of Solidarity Eswatini decided to turn the initiative into a social enterprise. To build the site, Caracali Consulting (my company) partnered with SysInfo in South Africa.
Role: Co-Founder & Digital Lead
Duties fulfilled during the project:
Mapping out the scope of the website for SysInfo
Securing the domain and appropriate web hosting platform for Solidarity Eswatini's anticipated expansion into collecting donations online for future campaigns
Optimizing the SysInfo draft site via WordPress
Recruiting a volunteer blogger to help build out content for Solidarity Eswatini
Project Scope: Designing the company's service offering pack for company registration purposes in eSwatini. This company profile also currently serves as a brief information package for prospective clients in Southern Africa, where Caracali's niche is providing web-building services and optimization.
Role: Co-Founder & Digital Transformation Advisor
