I'm Muhammad Zahid Khan (M. Zahid Khan), serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and I.T., University of Malakand, Pakistan since 2005. I did BCS (4 Years, session 1999-2003) from the Department of Computer Science, University of Peshawar, and F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) from Edwardes College Peshawar, Pakistan. I completed my Ph.D. at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, Liverpool John Moores University, UK (May 2013). My professional career started as a Lecturer at Nisar Shaheed Degree College, Risalpur in 2004, then I joined the University of Malakand as a lecturer in 2005 and progressed to the position of assistant professor. I have over 18 years of teaching experience, including 10 years of research experience. I also worked on various administrative positions at UoM, including Dy. Director Administration and Semester Program Coordinator, Focal Person QEC/CSIT. Currently, I have the additional responsibilities of Manager Research Development at ORIC-UoM, Facilitator Youth Development Center/Kamyab Jawan Markaz, Staff Proctor, and In-charge Media Cell at the University of Malakand.
My area of research was fault management in wireless sensor networks, and I worked under the supervision of Prof. Madjid Merabti, Dr. Bob Askwith, and Dr. Faycal Bouhafs. I am the group leader and focal person of the Network Systems & Security Research Group (NSSRG) at the Department of CS&IT, University of Malakand. I have successfully supervised 3 PhD and 11 MPhil students, and have 30 publications in various prestigious journals, with a total impact factor of over 80 and 1,265 citations.
My goal is to excel in my field through hard work, research, skills, and perseverance., And to be involved in work where I can utilize my skills and abilities to contribute to the growth of my organization effectively, contribute to knowledge through my research, and serve humanity and my country to the best of my abilities.
