MyTips stores all your tip, worker and attendance records only on your device. The only data that leaves your device is what Google AdMob collects to show ads.
Everything you enter in MyTips is saved in a private database inside the app on your device. MyTips has no user accounts and no server, and the developer cannot see or access this information.

Custom logo: the app uses the Android system photo picker, so it only receives the single image you select. It does not read the rest of your gallery.
Exports: once you save a CSV or JPG file, it is under your control. If you save it to a cloud service (for example, Google Drive), that service's privacy policy applies to the file.
Information about other people: worker names belong to other people. If you enter them, you are responsible for having their permission to do so.
MyTips is free and shows ads, which is why the app needs an internet connection to start. The Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app collects the following data automatically and shares it with Google (source):
IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of your device.
Interactions with ads and the app, such as app launches, taps and video views.
Diagnostic information, such as app and SDK performance and app launch time.
Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID.
Google uses this data for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and it is encrypted in transit. None of your tip, worker or attendance records are sent to Google or to anyone else. How Google uses this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices
Consent: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, using Google's consent tool.
Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device's settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads, depending on your device).
Personalized ads: you can manage how Google personalizes ads at My Ad Center.
MyTips asks for no permission to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location or files.
Permission
Why the app needs it
Internet
To load and show ads
Access network state
To check that the device is online when the app starts
Advertising ID (added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK)
To let Google show and measure ads
Choosing a logo and saving exports use Android's own photo picker and file picker. They need no extra permission and give the app access only to the image or file location you choose.
You control all the data stored by MyTips, and you can delete it at any time.
Automatic deletion: daily tips and attendance records older than 90 days are deleted automatically each time the app opens.
Deleting a worker: removes that worker together with all their attendance records and tip history.
Removing your logo: tap Restore default in Settings to delete your custom logo.
Deleting everything: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in your device's settings (Settings > Apps > MyTips > Storage > Clear storage).
The developer keeps no copy of your data, so there is nothing to request from the developer. Data collected by Google for advertising is kept and deleted according to Google's Privacy Policy.
MyTips is a work tool for adults who manage tips in a business, and it is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect information from children.
Your records are kept in the app's private storage, which Android protects so that other apps cannot read it. Keep your device protected with a screen lock, because anyone who can unlock it can open the app. Data sent to Google for ads is encrypted in transit.
