These two products sit at opposite ends of the towing and recovery spectrum. One is an accessory designed to save your back and time during daily hauling, while the other is a primary power unit built to get you out of deep trouble when gravity or mud has the upper hand. Confusing them would be a costly mistake, as they solve fundamentally different problems. The Mytee kit is all about efficiency on the flatbed, whereas the XPV AUTO is about raw power and versatility in the field.
• Mytee Products Strap Winder w/Winch: Its biggest strength is rapid strap retraction that saves time for truckers, but it is strictly limited to handling existing straps rather than providing lifting power.
• XPV AUTO 3000: It offers true 3-stage planetary gear reduction and wireless remote operation for complex terrain, yet it is a bulky, single-unit motor requiring significant installation effort.
• Who picks Mytee: Drivers who spend hours every day securing loads on flatbeds and want to stop manually coiling straps by hand.
• Who picks XPV: Off-roaders, boat owners, or UTV riders who need a reliable, high-torque winch to pull vehicles from mud, sand, or steep inclines.
The Mytee Products Strap Winder w/Winch is not a motorized device meant to pull heavy loads; it is a mechanical helper designed specifically for the logistics of flatbed trucking. When you are loading lumber, steel, or machinery onto a trailer, the process of wrapping the loose end of a ratchet strap around the drum can take minutes per load. This kit changes that dynamic. It includes a Winch Strap Kwik Winder and a combination chrome winch bar, creating a system that makes recoiling straps effortless.
This product shines for the professional driver or the enthusiast who treats their flatbed as a mobile workshop. The design focuses entirely on speed and convenience. The Kwik Winder allows you to easily reel in slack straps, which means you spend less time wrestling with heavy webbing and more time getting back on the road. The included combination winch bar features a knurled, non-slip handle and a tapered, carbon-steel tip. These specific material choices ensure a secure grip even when your hands are dirty or oily, preventing accidental slips that could lead to injury.

However, this tool has a very narrow scope. It cannot be used as a cheater bar, nor can it generate any pulling force on its own. If you are looking for a device to recover a stuck vehicle or lift an engine block, this is the wrong choice. It is purely a finishing tool for the hauler who needs to keep their workspace tidy and their workflow moving fast.
It is built with a heavy-duty mounting plate and a body constructed from sturdy high-quality steel, designed to withstand the abuse of rocks, sand, and mud. Unlike the Mytee winder, this is a standalone motor unit powered by a 12V DC copper wire permanent magnet motor. The use of pure copper wire gives it high magnetic induction and high-temperature resistance, ensuring strong power output even under continuous strain.
What sets this winch apart for off-road enthusiasts is the control scheme. It comes with both a corded control and a high-precision mini digital wireless handheld remote. This wireless capability means you are never restricted by terrain or weather conditions. You can stand clear of the cable path while operating the winch, which is a critical safety feature when dealing with heavy tension on a 32ft steel cable. The waterproof design ensures that whether you are recovering a UTV in a creek or an ATV in a rainstorm, the electronics remain protected.
The core of its power lies in the precise 3-stage planetary gear system. This multi-wheel arrangement provides a massive speed ratio, allowing for coaxial deceleration that generates immense torque. This is essential for pulling heavy loads up steep grades or through thick muck. While it requires a solid electrical connection via color-coded terminals for easy installation, the result is a winch that feels substantial and trustworthy. It is not a quick-fix accessory; it is a primary recovery asset for anyone navigating complex conditions.
• Best for strap management and workflow speed → Mytee Products Strap Winder w/Winch. If your goal is to reduce the physical labor of coiling straps on a flatbed, this kit is the only logical choice.
• Best for all-weather and off-road operation → XPV AUTO 3000. With its waterproof rating and wireless remote, it handles environments that would destroy a standard manual tool.
• Best for user safety during operation → XPV AUTO 3000. The wireless remote allows you to operate the winch from a safe distance, whereas the Mytee tool requires you to stand right next to the winch drum.
• Best for ease of installation → Mytee Products Strap Winder w/Winch. It requires no wiring or mounting; it simply attaches to your existing winch setup as an add-on.
• Best for long-term durability in harsh terrain → XPV AUTO 3000. The steel construction and copper motor are built for high-wear scenarios like rock crawling or deep mud.
• Best value for a flatbed owner → Mytee Products Strap Winder w/Winch. It solves a daily annoyance that costs you time, offering immediate utility without a complex installation.
In my opinion, I would buy the XPV AUTO 3000 if my primary goal was owning a classic car for weekend drives that might involve trail riding or beach access. The ability to recover a vintage vehicle from a soft ditch without damaging its suspension or bodywork is invaluable. The wireless control and waterproof build make it feel like a modern upgrade to older, clunkier recovery methods. However, if I were running a fleet of flatbed trucks, I would immediately purchase the Mytee Products Strap Winder w/Winch because the time saved on every single load adds up to significant revenue and reduced fatigue. The XPV is the hero tool for emergencies, while the Mytee is the unsung hero of daily productivity.
In contrast, the XPV AUTO 3000 is explicitly marketed as a waterproof winch suitable for wet conditions.
It is not a substitute for the specialized strap management tools provided by the Mytee kit for efficient flatbed loading.
No, the Mytee Products Strap Winder w/Winch is a purely mechanical tool consisting of a winder and a chrome combination winch bar. It requires no wiring, batteries, or power source to function.
The XPV AUTO uses a 12V DC copper wire permanent magnet motor to provide high torque for pulling, whereas the Mytee product has no motor at all, relying entirely on manual leverage from the chrome bar and the mechanical action of the winder.
