Erasmus+ project of SU "Ekzarh Antim I", Kazanlak, Bulgaria. Short-term project for mobility of learners and staff in school education. With contract № 2019-1-BG01-КА229-062339 co-financed by EU
In our school, subjects related to environmental education are taught in biology and geography lessons with an interdisciplinary STEAM approach , and projects are carried out to increase the awareness of the students about concepts such as environmental sustainability and ecological footprint. With the work of our Biology and Geography teachers during the period, an Ecological Footprint Calculation questionnaire was applied to the students. Based on the results of the survey, the main need we identified for our institution is to raise awareness and raise awareness among our students about Sustainable Ecology and Ecological Footprint. Although this subject is discussed both in lessons and in local projects, we think that addressing this need with an international project will have a greater impact on our students. It has been concluded that there is not enough infrastructure for With the necessity of ensuring the development of most of our teachers in the field of foreign language, starting from the current problem, with a transnational project both to raise awareness about key concepts such as climate change, energy efficiency, waste management and recycling, and by improving the foreign language skills of our teachers and students. We aim to provide cultural recognition about European citizenship.
