Mystical Woods is a script and caps font duo. I went back to the basics for this one -- ink and a brush on paper. I cleaned up the letters enough so that there are no jagged edges, but left enough of the character to keep that inky look -- those are the Rough fonts. Then I went back through again and cleaned the heck out of them, making every line and curve smooth for our cut-crafting friends -- those are the Smooth fonts.Since these two fonts were written together with the same tools and style, you can also mix the script letters in with the caps letters! Each font comes with a full set of standard characters and punctuation, as well as over 300 extended Latin characters for language support. And the script fonts also have 45 double-letter ligatures!

Looking for a font that is reminiscent of the Wild West? Sancreek is that font! It is a Display Type font in western style. Mostly used as an all-caps display webfont, it is a contemporary take on some of the old wooden posters of the nineteenth century in the West. As the name suggests, the caps of the scarlet elf cup are cup-shaped and scarlet, though they can also be orange in colour. They have barely discernible stems which attach to the leaf litter, giving them the appearance of hollow bowls lying on the woodland floor or on decaying branches.

Fruit body: irregularly shaped cups that have a smooth, bright red inner surface and then a paler, downy outer surface. Cups are approximately 4cm across.

Stipe (stalk): short stem up to 3.5cm long that attaches to the leaf litter. This is mostly the same colour as the outer surface of the cup.

Gills/spores: white spore print.

I've made rainsticks of PVC too...but never did the wood-tone coloring. I used a Dremel tool, to carve mystical symbols, colored using art paints and a wood burning tool. Used thin, flat-head nails set into the drilled holes in the PVC, held in place with a little melted PVC shoved over them. Otherwise, left them white colored. I used regular PVC end caps....but like that large cork much better....where do you get corks that big?

If you want to make it look like there's irregularities in the sides, lumps and bumps, for instance, you might try melting extra PVC onto the pipe, to look like branch stubs. A wood-burning tool and a Dremel tool, works PVC very nicely; those can actually help stick parts together. PVC glues or such, might help add some irregularities to the surface, too....just gotta make sure they are stuck-on really well, and blended-in with the pipe, so they don't chip-off during use.
