Elementary school Primorski Dolac was founded in 1931 and it's situated 50 km from Split in Dalmatian hinterland, on the western margins of the county. It's a small school with 8 classes and approximately 80 children.
The school employs 18 teachers, a headmaster and two professional associates.
Throughout the years, school has participated in many activities and projects. It has been sponsoring the education of young children in Africa, raised money for the homeless and it collaborates in projects with social, cultural and ecological aspect. School is also active in projects that include prevention of drug abuse and school bullying.
Despite the dislocation of the village, school children are closely connected to some bigger towns on the Dalmatian coast such as Trogir and Kaštela since they usually continue their high school education there.
School participated in a European Comenius project in which it collaborated with schools in Portugal, Turkey and Poland. The project lasted 2 years. The title of the project was ''Unique Europe with different cultures – The school as a promoter of culture and tradition'' and the aim of the project was to promote the empowerment of a common European identity through cultural differences, emphasizing the role of school as a promoter of culture and tradition.
Project was completely financed through the funds of the European Union.
