MyShot — Privacy Policy

MyShot ("we", "our", or "the app") helps photographers share event photos and helps guests find their own photos using face recognition. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
WHO THIS APPLIES TO
• Photographers who create events, upload portfolios, and manage clients.
• Guests who search for their photos from events using a selfie.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information
• Name and email address from Google Sign-In.
• Optional profile details you provide (location, bio, age, contact links).
Photos and event data
• Google Drive folder links that photographers connect to an event.
• Event photos accessed from those Drive folders for processing.
• Portfolio photos and quotation files photographers upload.
Face data (biometric)
• We generate mathematical representations ("embeddings") of faces detected in event photos. These embeddings are used only to match a guest's selfie to their photos within a specific event.
• When a guest searches, the selfie they upload is processed to compute a face match. It is used for the immediate search and is not used for advertising or cross-event identity tracking.
Usage information
• Basic activity such as events processed, searches performed, and messages, to operate and improve the service.
• Device push-notification token (to deliver message notifications).
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
• To process event photos and enable face-based photo search.
• To let photographers showcase portfolios and communicate with guests.
• To process payments for photo processing and subscriptions.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use face data for advertising or for identifying you outside the specific event you searched.
FACE / BIOMETRIC DATA — YOUR CONSENT
By uploading a selfie to search an event, you consent to the temporary processing of your facial data solely to find your photos in that event. Photographers are responsible for having the rights to the event photos they connect.
DATA SHARING
• Service providers: We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage), Google Cloud (processing), and Razorpay (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
• We do not share your personal data with third parties for their marketing.
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
• Event data and face embeddings are retained until the photographer deletes the event, which removes the associated stored data.
• You can delete your account at any time from within the app; this removes your profile and associated data.
• To request deletion, use in-app account deletion or contact us (below).
SECURITY
• Authentication is handled by Google (Firebase Authentication).
• Data is access-controlled so only authorized users can modify their content.
• Network traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Payments are verified server-side.
CHILDREN
MyShot is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
YOUR CHOICES
• Edit or remove your profile details, events, albums, and quotations.
• Delete your account to remove your data.
• Control notifications via your device settings.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
