Start a 9:00 - 10:00 AM
starting from Homestay – Su Pan – Hau Thao – Giang Ta Chai Village (Approx. 12 km | 5-6 hours)
Join us for an immersive trekking experience where you not only explore the natural beauty of Sapa, but also gain a deeper understanding of the daily life and culture of ethnic minority communities.
Your journey begins at My’s Homestay, trekking through breathtaking rice terraces and peaceful mountain landscapes.
You will first arrive at Su Pan Village, home to the H’mong people. Here, you will see traditional wooden houses, often built simply but surrounded by nature. Local families mainly rely on farming, growing rice, corn, and vegetables on terraced fields. You may meet villagers in their traditional clothing, hand-dyed using natural indigo plants, and observe their daily routines such as farming, weaving, and caring for livestock.
Continuing to Hau Thao Village, also inhabited by the H’mong community, you will experience a quieter and more authentic side of village life. Most people here live closely connected to nature, with a self-sufficient lifestyle. Water is often sourced from natural streams, and daily activities are simple but meaningful, including cooking over firewood, handmade textile production, and raising animals like buffalo, pigs, and chickens.
The journey then leads to Giang Ta Chai Village, home to the Red Dao ethnic group. The Red Dao people are known for their distinctive traditional dress, especially the red headscarves worn by women. Their culture is rich in customs, herbal knowledge, and traditional healing practices using forest plants. Life here is deeply rooted in community, family values, and respect for nature.
