MYRRS began life as A solo recording project by James Biven (Death Cap, Odd Faction, GRR BOO!) under the projects former name "The Electric Myrrs" in late September of 2017, recording for two years what would be the first 3 experimental albums (Dreammaster, Cartwheel Galaxy, Yard Werk) the project began to self release these albums starting in 2019 and has since released over 10 albums, demos, and singles most of which has been recorded by the projects Mastermind. as it took on A new form followed by a rotating cast of musical members, the now functioning live band version of the project started to play shows across the Gulf Coast as well as Louisiana in 2020, gathering reviews and word of mouth that the music created and executed live by the band over the years was "Unique" "Nostalgic" and "Uncharted Territory taking ques from 1960's Psychedelia (13th Floor Elevators, The Red Crayola,) as well as Komisch influence (CAN, NEU, Kraftwerk) Early Indie (Pin Group, Jesus and the Mary Chain, Spacemen 3) and more unconventional styles (Silver Apples, Parson Sound, Soft Machine) MYRRS has crafted it's own brand of sound that continues to evolve in new and exciting ways. The live band consists of Multi-Instrumentalist Oliver Meacham and Mastermind/Multi-Instrumentalist James Biven
