Terms of Use

INTRODUCTION
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Myra mobile application and related
services (together, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do
not use the Service.
1. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the
Service.
If you are not yet an adult where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a
parent or legal guardian.
2. ACCOUNT AND ACCESS
You may sign in with:
• Email and password
• Apple Sign In
• Google Sign In
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your
account.

3. WHAT THE SERVICE PROVIDES
Myra is a personal journal and AI-assisted reflection app. It may include:
• Journal entries, notes, and mood tags
• AI chat linked to entries
• Weekly insights based on your entries
• Thought Threads (AI-assisted grouping of themes across entries)
• Voice-to-text for writing entries
• Optional reminders
• Optional Face ID or other biometric lock for the App
Features may change over time. We do not promise that any specific feature will always stay the
same.
4. FREE USE, SUBSCRIPTIONS, AND FREE TRIAL
Free tier
You may use Myra without paying, subject to a limit of 10 AI chat sessions per calendar month.
The count resets on the first day of each month. After the limit, you need an active paid
subscription for more AI chat in that month.
Paid subscriptions
Paid plans are sold only through the Apple App Store as auto-renewing subscriptions, for
example:
• Monthly plan — renews every one month
• Yearly plan — renews every one year
Exact names, prices, and billing periods are shown in the App and on the App Store before you
buy. Prices may differ by country and currency.
Free trial (monthly plan)
The monthly plan may include a 7-day free trial for users who qualify under Apple's rules. Apple
decides eligibility. If you already used a trial for this subscription with your Apple ID, you may
not get another trial.
During the trial you are not charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription
becomes paid and Apple charges your Apple ID for the first billing period and then according to
the renewal rules below.
Billing and automatic renewal
• Charges go to your Apple ID.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the
current period.
• Apple may charge you up to 24 hours before the period ends.
• Refunds follow Apple's rules and applicable law.
How to cancel or change your subscription
Use:
• Settings on your iPhone or iPad: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Myra, or
• The App Store: Account, Subscriptions.
Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep paid features until the end of the period you already
paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Restore purchases
If you reinstall the App or use a new device, use "Restore Purchase" in the App so Apple can
restore your subscription to that device.
5. AI AND HEALTH DISCLAIMER
The Service uses artificial intelligence (including OpenAI) to generate text. That text is for
reflection and journaling only. It can be wrong, biased, or inappropriate.
The Service is not medical, mental health, legal, or emergency advice. Do not use it to diagnose
or treat any condition, or instead of a lawyer or crisis line. In an emergency, call your local
emergency number.
6. MICROPHONE AND VOICE
Voice-to-text needs microphone access. Audio is sent to Apple's speech recognition. Myra does
not keep recordings. You can turn off microphone access in iOS Settings, Privacy and Security,
Microphone.
7. YOUR CONTENT
You keep ownership of what you write in the App. You give Myra a limited license to host, copy,
and send that content only as needed to run the Service (including sending parts of it to OpenAI
when you use AI features).
You must not use the Service to break the law or infringe other people's rights.
8. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
• Use the Service illegally or to harm others
• Try to break, overload, or hack the Service
• Circumvent security or payment
• Upload malware or probe systems without permission
We may suspend or end your access if you break these rules or if we must do so for legal or safety
reasons.
9. PRIVACY POLICY
Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms. It describes what we collect and how we use it. You can
ask us for a copy of the current Privacy Policy at any time (see Section 17 for our email address;
use the subject line "Privacy Request").
10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Service uses Firebase (Google), OpenAI, Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, and other Apple
services. Their terms and privacy policies also apply where relevant. Myra is not responsible for
third-party services.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The App, its design, branding, and our software (not your own journal text) belong to Myra or its
licensors. You may not copy or resell the App except as allowed by law or by Apple's license to
you.
12. AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES
We may change, pause, or stop parts of the Service at any time. The Service is provided as
available. We do not promise it will always work without errors.
13. ENDING USE
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law or
for security.
Subscriptions remain managed by Apple; cancel in Subscriptions to stop future charges.
14. DISCLAIMERS
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without
warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those cases our
disclaimers apply only to the maximum extent allowed.
15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Myra and its team are not liable for indirect, special,
incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from
your use of the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that applies, our liability is limited to the
maximum allowed by law.
16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date when we do. If you keep
using the Service after changes, that means you accept the updated Terms, except where the law
requires a different process.
